Question: How can I become a patient of the Department of Stomatology in Prague?
Answer: Our facility provides treatment primarily to patients in special and super-special care, for which the patients are referred to our facility by their treating physicians from various specialties. Of course, we also provide basic treatment, such as for dental caries or tooth extraction.
Question: How is the care provided at the Department of Stomatology reimbursed?
Answer: Our facility has contracts with all health insurance companies, and medical care is reimbursed in accordance with the relevant decrees. We treat self-payers as well, and we offer services exceeding the standard scope of care covered from public insurance, the prices of which are available to the patients in the price list.
Question: Can I visit the Department of Stomatology with an acute problem?
Answer: Our objective is to treat primarily those patients who have been referred to our facility for dental surgery care. Of course, our Outpatient Dental Office can be visited by any patient with a dental problem. The facility has an emergency service which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Question: The Department of Stomatology is also a research facility; will I become a subject of experiments against my will?
Answer: These concerns are groundless. The patient is informed of any procedure in advance, including signature of the relevant consent form. Patients are informed about ongoing research, if any, and the entire research is supervised by the Ethics Committee of the First Faculty of Medicine.
Question: How good is the dental care provided by the students at the Department of Stomatology?
